đź”´ Discontinuation of Home Tuition Services in all over India

1. Lack of Trust and Accountability Post-COVID
Since the pandemic, the reliability of home tutors has significantly declined. Many teachers agree to terms during onboarding but fail to maintain punctuality, regularity, or professional behaviour. Even after written agreements, enforcing compliance is nearly impossible. Legal action is impractical due to slow judicial processes, and police do not interfere in civil academic disputes. On the other hand, some parents also exploit the situation—bargaining, delaying payments, or altering the scope of services midway. These unstable dynamics directly harm students' learning continuity. As a result, we have concluded that maintaining quality and trust in home tuition services is no longer feasible.

2. Financial Pressure on Teachers Leading to Unstable Commitments
Post-pandemic inflation has made life challenging for many educators. A rising number of teachers, especially younger ones, are financially burdened with EMIs on phones, vehicles, and personal loans. In search of even small salary hikes, they frequently change jobs, disrupting the continuity of students’ tuition. While they may accept home tuition initially at lower rates, they often abandon the assignments when better offers appear. This leads to frequent tutor replacements and a poor academic experience for students. ABC Chemistry believes in stability and consistent mentorship—something that has become nearly impossible to guarantee in the home tuition model today.

3. Low Affordability and Bargaining by Parents
After the pandemic, many families are struggling financially. Although they seek quality education for their children, they are often unable to pay fair compensation for home tuition. This results in excessive bargaining or delayed payments, creating friction between parents and teachers. Many good educators reject such offers, and the ones who accept often lose motivation or quit mid-way. This not only affects teacher morale but also disrupts the student’s academic rhythm. We have found that these patterns prevent us from upholding the standards ABC Chemistry is known for, and thus we have decided to discontinue home tuition services permanently.

đź”´Discontinuation of Group Tuition Services Upto Class 12th.

1. Frequent Government Policy Changes and Legal Uncertainty
In the post-COVID world, educational institutions are constantly affected by changing government regulations. These include rules related to classroom capacity, ventilation, student spacing, and even permission to operate. The guidelines are not only inconsistent but also vary across departments and districts, leading to confusion and delays. Any violation—intentional or accidental—can result in heavy fines or forced closures. Managing group tuition under such volatile conditions becomes a legal and operational risk. To avoid uncertainty, legal conflict, and interruption of student learning, ABC Chemistry has decided to discontinue group tuition programs permanently.

2. MCD, Fire NOC, and Infrastructure Compliance Issues
Delhi-based educational institutes face increasing scrutiny from MCD and Fire Department authorities. Getting and renewing a Fire NOC involves long waiting periods, costly inspections, and often inconsistent requirements. A single shortfall—like insufficient fire extinguishers or stairway width—can lead to notices or penalties. This puts both students and institutions at risk of sudden shutdowns. These complications make it extremely difficult to manage physical group classes, especially when changes in premises or scaling up is required. Given these compliance burdens, ABC Chemistry has chosen to focus on safer, controlled formats like one-to-one coaching and online sessions.

3. Irregular Attendance and Changing Student Behavior
Post-pandemic, students’ learning behaviour has changed dramatically. In group tuition formats, we now face increasing issues like irregular attendance, last-minute dropouts, demand for frequent rescheduling, and a lack of discipline. Students are also distracted by the availability of online learning content, leading them to undervalue structured offline sessions. This creates an unpredictable classroom atmosphere and affects the learning curve for serious students. Running group batches under such inconsistent participation becomes counterproductive. Hence, we’ve shifted our focus to personalized learning formats that ensure accountability, performance tracking, and stable academic growth.

4. Continuous Syllabus Changes After COVID
Education boards (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards) and competitive exams have made frequent changes in syllabus, topics, and weightage over the last few years. These changes often occur mid-session, leaving group tutors struggling to adapt lessons to every student’s needs. In group tuition, it's not possible to provide personalized attention or pace-specific teaching. Students with different learning speeds or board affiliations get left behind or confused. This seriously affects the outcome of group-based teaching. ABC Chemistry now offers only individual and focused teaching sessions where syllabus customization is possible as per the student’s board, level, and performance.
